NE Regional Sales Director

Coates Field Service, Inc. has an exciting new opportunity for the position of NE Regional Sales Director to join our nationwide sales team. Remote work to sell into the NE Region of US. Proximity is a plus.

The successful candidate will have a proven record of professional services sales experience, looks forward to collaborating with our team of industry professionals, and is excited to learn everything we can teach them about Coates and the land acquisition and right of way industry. We are looking for a salesperson with a desire to learn, an eagerness to develop business, and the ability to translate client needs into Coates solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generating sales and nurturing client relationships is the primary emphasis of this role
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and requirements in order to determine the best services and solutions that Coates can provide -- become the go-to for your client’s land acquisition and right of way service needs
  • Build a pipeline of business opportunities and develop new client relationships
  • Build positive working relationships with existing Coates clients to manage ongoing business and generate repeat business
  • Manage existing portfolio of projects by working closely with the client and Coates team members
  • Collaborate with the corporate proposal team to produce strong, business winning responses to RFP’s, ROI’s, Invitations to Bid, etc.
  • Work closely with Coates project team members to ensure a successful project outcome; providing supervision and oversight of project managers, communicating client updates, proactively monitoring and adjusting activities to meet client expectations
  • Represent Coates within the industry by attending and participating in forums, workshops, conferences, etc.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable sales success in a professional services environment
  • Proven track record of successfully managing client relationships
  • Energy Sector, Oil & Gas, Power and/or Utility experience
  • Current or recent experience in a leadership role in Right of Way or Land Acquisition
  • BS/BA in Business Administration, emphasis on Management or related field preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed to client and project locations, 30% - 40%
  • Technologically proficient with experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams); experience in any industry-specific land management and/or program management systems is a plus
  • Must possess strong leadership and management skills, supervisory experience is a plus
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and as a part of a team environment
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
